Current Positions
Nursery Manager - Full Time
Monday - Friday 45 hours per week | Salary: up to £25,000 per year
We are looking for an inspirational Nursery Manager who will be responsible for the management and delivery of high quality education at one of our branches. You will have line management responsibilities for roughly 20 staff members and be a proven leader.
The Nursery Manager will ensure that a curriculum is delivered and monitored that is creative, stimulating and fun which facilitates the intellectual, emotional, physical, social and where appropriate, spiritual development of each child in line with the EYFS Framework. You need to strive to provide outstanding childcare and lead a team to be achieve the best they can be.
If you hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Childcare or above (preferred), have substantial knowledge of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage and delivering the EYFS Curriculum, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
Duties will include:
- Overall day to day management responsibility for the nursery.
- To be responsible for the efficient running of the nursery and overall delivery of a high quality service.
- To ensure that the nursery provides a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
- To ensure that the nursery plans an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
- To ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
- To manage, supervise and support the nursery staff.
- To undertake and assign designated officer roles.
- To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
- To ensure all staff understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies.
- Take responsibility for planning, which ensures each child is working towards the early learning goals.
- To organise and participate in the key person system.
- To conduct staff appraisals and supervisions as appropriate and to identify staff training needs.
Skills required:
- Excellent verbal and communication skills with children and parents.
- Ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records.
- Effective team leadership.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Administrative and basic IT skills.
Qualifications required
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years recent experience, working in a Nursery setting, ideally already in a senior practitioner or room leader role.
- Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.

Nursery Deputy Manager - Part Time - Permanent
Monday - Friday 45 hours per week | Salary: up to £14,990 per year
We are looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Manager who will be responsible supporting the nursery manager to deliver high quality education at one of our branches. You will have a vital role in supporting both manager and the team and will work closely with both to achieve the best for our families.
The Deputy Manager will ensure that nursery SEN is delivered and monitored so that it is creative, stimulating and fun for the children and will help them achieve all they can. You need to strive to provide outstanding childcare and have up to date knowledge of the EYFS and other early years strategies.
If you hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Childcare or above, have substantial knowledge of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage and delivering the EYFS Curriculum, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Monday - Friday 40 hours per week | Salary: £6.00 per hour
A fantastic opportunity has become available at Pixieland Nurseries. We are looking for a Nursery Assistant Apprentice at all our locations, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children’s play, learning & development. This role will be supported by your team as well as an early years course to ensure you reach your qualification confidently and professionally. We are looking for a professional attitude, but with a sense of fun and excitement as this allows out children to thrive within our nursery family environment.
Duties will include:
- Caring for children
- Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs
- Supporting children's play and learning
- Supporting children's development
- Adhere to all safeguarding practices
- Preparing snacks and help with their feeding and cleaning
