The first day of the month of May is called May Day. It is the time of year when warmer weather begins and the flowers and trees start to blossom. It is wehn people celebrate the coming of summer with lots of different customs that are expressions of joy and hope.

At Pixieland we love to express ourselves through dance and being creative, so to celebrate May Day we will be having a dance day. We will be trying all different types of dancing and will even be trying to make our own May Poles out of kitchen rolls.

If any parents have any old kitchen rolls then we would be grateful for the donations.
