Yom Hashoah
Yom Hashoah is a day for people to remember the Holocaust victims. Yom Hashoah ceremonies include the lighting of candles for the victims and it helps to teach people about respecting others cultures and beliefs.
We will not be discussing the Holocaust with the children on the 2nd May, but feel that the messages about treating others fairly, without judgement because of things such as disability, race, gender or religion is important.
The children will talk about what makes them different and how these differences make us special. We will be creating piuctures of candles, butterflies and making stars to celebrate.
